first_imgby: Michael MuckianWisconsin credit unions and their league Wednesday will oppose a bill that would lump the state’s financial regulator in with the agency the licenses cosmetologists and other unrelated professions.Two Wisconsin state legislators are proposing a bill that would combine the Office of Credit Unions and Department of Financial Institutions, which regulates banks, with Department of Safety and Professional Services. The DSPS has oversight for the cemetery board, family therapists, hydrogeologists, bodywork therapists, perfusionists, home inspection, mixed martial arts and cosmetology.
