Mayor David: Binghamton 2021 budget passes

first_imgBINGHAMTON (WBNG) — The Office of Mayor Richard David has announced they have passed the city’s 2021 budget. “As municipalities find themselves in compromised positions, Binghamton is faring better — not only because of the decisions we made in response to the pandemic, but because of years of proactive decisions when the economy was strong,” Mayor David said. Thursday night, Mayor David released a statement saying the City Council passed the Binghamton 2021 budget in a bipartisan fashion. Mayor David said the budget maintains a commitment to public safety and infrastructure, as well as other essential services, while also protecting homeowners and small businesses by holding the line on property taxes. center_img Officials said the budget is a map for delivering essential government services and tackling challenges that residents expect to be taken on by the local government.
