HERE’S a suggestion for how to make this Valentine’s Day especially loving: In addition to doing something sweet for your honey, do something sweet for the needy, too. The Los Angeles Regional Foodbank is asking romantics this year to make a donation in honor of their loved ones. Its suggestion: $50 or the price of a dozen roses. What better way to show that love isn’t just an emotion – but a real effort to do good – than to honor someone special that way?
